Super Bowl LV was set to be the most isolated Super Bowl in history. COVID restricted travel, cancelled parties, and limited stadium capacity to 20%. To give fans a way to connect for the Big Game, Verizon turned to the world’s biggest video game: Fortnite.
By recreating Raymond James Stadium in Fortnite, Verizon’s Fortnite Stadium became the go-to destination for football fans and gamers alike to play mini games, win prizes, meet NFL stars, watch live streams and so much more. After a week, Fortnite Stadium had welcomed over 40 million fans, making it the most visited Super Bowl Stadium EVER.
